Weekly Development Log #2
Hello guys, this is the second devlog for Run, Gun Agent! The teams goals for the past couple of weeks were to try and fix some of the bugs that were in the game already from the time we made the first devlog of the game. This is for the programming section. What the team did towards fixing these issues were to try and some problems with the sprinting and collisions which we did successfully. We did a lot of bug test to make sure that the movement mechanics were working properly. We've also started on the switch system for the game which seems to be working a bit but more stuff is needed to make the game work better. The goals regarding next week will be to make levels work within the game and implement them successfully within the game, we will also try and finish the switch mechanic and add the key/door system in game and further test as well.
Playtest Report #2
We were playtesting the game to make sure there were not any bugs which we found but we had to tweak some stuff. What we wanted to learn was that how the game would play if some of the systems in game were changed. The play testers were the team me, Chris and Kevin. We observed the bugs with the movements of the game and we decided to re-code the mechanic of moving fast which helped. The feedback received was amazing from the group members and we are going to keep stuff the way it is in game. We took the feedback and we will mess with more values with other mechanics to ensure to see if there is another way to play the game and make it better.
